Role Overview:

As the primary contact for OEM and Distribution clients, the Customer Support Specialist embodies the AMD brand. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a leading technology organization.

This is a non-exempt, hourly role that includes benefits. Candidates must be able to work from the AMD office in a hybrid model (2+ days/week). Only local candidates will be considered.

Candidate Profile:

As a seasoned Customer Service Professional, you are dedicated to prioritizing customer needs and ensuring complete satisfaction. You thrive under pressure and excel in conflict resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage order backlog: Enter orders into SAP, process change orders, coordinate scheduling, and collaborate with planning teams to enhance delivery timelines while providing feedback to customers and sales.
  • Generate and maintain various customer-facing reports that detail open orders and billing activities.
  • Monitor and expedite customer deliveries in partnership with the logistics department.
  • Handle pricing management by entering special pricing agreements into SAP.
  • Oversee returns management: Validate return requests, enter them into SAP, and liaise with logistics and quality departments for follow-up.
  • Assist the Sales team with customer inquiries and process-related questions.
  • Maintain and update process documentation.
  • Provide transactional support using SAP, Excel, and web tools.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience in customer service with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar tools is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Flexibility and a desire to work in a global environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage pressure effectively.

Location: Austin, Texas. Candidates must be able to work from the AMD office in a hybrid model (2+ days/week). Only local candidates will be considered.
