Position Overview

As a key member of our team at Facility Solutions Group, the Structured Cabling Specialist will play a vital role in delivering low-voltage solutions. We are seeking dedicated individuals who are looking for a long-term career in the low-voltage sector.

Job Responsibilities

In this position, you will be tasked with:

1. **Installation and Termination**: Pulling, testing, and terminating copper and fiber optic cabling in a variety of settings.
2. **Support Structure Installation**: Setting up support structures such as J-hooks, saddles, slings, and cable trays.
3. **Tool Operation**: Utilizing hand tools, power tools, ladders, and testing equipment effectively.
4. **Cable Management**: Ensuring cables are labeled and organized in a neat manner.
5. **Testing Procedures**: Conducting tests on newly installed or relocated cables following established protocols.
6. **Safety Compliance**: Maintaining safety standards while keeping cables neatly tied and bundled.
7. **Knowledge Development**: Gaining a thorough understanding of National Building Codes and standards.
8. **Documentation**: Recording time and materials utilized during projects.
9. **Team Collaboration**: Assisting team members with installation and maintenance tasks.
10. **Client Support**: Providing solutions to clients by identifying issues and guiding them through corrective measures.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of six months of relevant installation experience.
- A valid Driver's License and dependable transportation.
- The ability to pass drug and background screenings.
- Industry certifications such as BICSI are advantageous.
- Manufacturer training certifications (e.g., CommScope, Panduit) are a plus.
- OSHA certification is preferred.
