Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will provide one-on-one care to young adults and elderly individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their home environment. You will assist with daily living skills, transportation, and support out in the community, including outings, field trips, medical appointments, and shopping.
Responsibilities- Assist individuals with daily living skills, including meal preparation and medication administration
- Provide guidance on developmental goals, such as community participation, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational responsibilities
- Support individuals with living skills, such as personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting
- Assist individuals to redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors
- Transport individuals to appointments and outings
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Maintaining a professional attitude and appearance at all times
- Six months of experience in human services preferred
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
- Successful clearance of background checks
- Full, part-time, and as-needed schedules available
- Full compensation and benefits package for employees working 30+ hours/week
