Job Overview

Arms Acres Inc. is seeking dedicated facility maintenance specialists to enhance the upkeep of our premises. In this position, you will contribute to maintaining a safe and well-kept environment, ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of the building, grounds, and equipment through a structured maintenance plan.

Work Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 8am-4:30pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uphold the standards of the building and surrounding areas in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Complete assigned maintenance work orders efficiently.
  • Manage waste disposal from all interior and exterior bins, ensuring proper placement in the compactor.
  • Respond to emergencies to secure the area and report any hazardous conditions to the supervisor.
  • Execute preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on designated equipment.
  • Ensure all tools are maintained in optimal working condition.
  • Facilitate patient transportation as necessary.
  • Prepare equipment for special events as required.
  • Secure the facility by locking and unlocking as per shift responsibilities.
  • Perform garbage removal tasks as directed.
  • Maintain outdoor areas, including sweeping pathways, raking leaves, mowing grass, and managing snow and seasonal tasks.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in mopping, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors.
  • Engage in Performance Improvement Initiatives.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with up to three years of relevant experience or training, or a suitable combination of education and experience in facility operations within a healthcare environment. A valid Driver's License is mandatory.
