RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Construction Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing site evaluations and monitoring activities on multifaceted projects that necessitate construction expertise in specific areas. Key administrative responsibilities include managing shop drawings, conducting site inspections, and handling submittals.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Foster strong client relationships to ensure project success.
- Oversee the Request for Information (RFI) and submittal processes, ensuring timely responses from the design team.
- Document meeting discussions and circulate notes to Project Managers and Practice Area Leaders, ensuring proper archiving in project folders.
- Review Operation and Maintenance manuals and compile feedback.
- Engage in project initiation meetings and team huddles.
- Participate in onsite meetings to address coordination challenges.
- Attend equipment startup sessions as required.
- Maintain prompt communication via email and phone.
- Manage the posting and removal of job advertisement signage, subject to prior approval.
- Keep the calendar coordinated with the Administrative Assistant.
- Regularly update the workload tracking spreadsheet and submit quarterly or upon request.
- Enhance professional skills through in-house training and external educational opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A valid driver's license is required for necessary travel.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- In-depth understanding of system design and relevant design codes.
- Experience with Revit and AutoCAD for drafting and design, along with proficiency in interpreting construction documents.
- Skilled in using computer software for design and Building Information Modeling (BIM) drafting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word) and other related applications.
- Competent in operating office equipment (e.g., computers, copiers).
- Strong research and organizational abilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual in all responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing workloads and project timelines.
- Experience working collaboratively in a team setting.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines effectively.
- Capable of interacting positively with clients and colleagues, both in the office and on-site.
