Overview

Responsibilities

The CT Imaging Specialist will:
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and perform a range of technical procedures related to computed tomography.
  • Provide thorough patient orientation, explain procedures, and deliver pre- and post-diagnostic care throughout the testing process.
  • Conduct complete diagnostic imaging tests, including patient positioning, equipment calibration, and documentation of results, under the guidance of the imaging supervisor or manager.
  • Assist patients with basic care needs as required.
  • Perform CT examinations in accordance with established departmental protocols, under the direction of the Medical Director.
  • Ensure that all equipment is operational, safe, and compliant with diagnostic standards.
  • Address equipment malfunctions and imaging quality issues, coordinating with service representatives as necessary.
  • Maintain daily equipment and room upkeep during and after each procedure, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Complete all quality assurance checks and maintain accurate equipment logs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • An Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) and CT; must secure CT licensure within nine months of hire or transfer.
  • Certification as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) in the state of Texas.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Preferred experience includes one year as a radiographer or one year of clinical rotation in a radiography setting.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $44.30 per hour.
