Job Title: Pediatric Adolescent Medicine

Join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals at VCU Health - MCV Physicians as we seek a talented Pediatric Adolescent Medicine specialist to join our esteemed Division of Adolescent Medicine.

About the Role:

We are committed to transforming the Division of Adolescent Medicine into a model academic unit devoted to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research. As a key member of our team, you will share responsibilities for education and clinical care in an academic outpatient adolescent health service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and mentorship to medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Research and participation in clinical, translational, and outcomes research
  • Service on departmental or School of Medicine level committees, as well as professional activities through journal review, conference presentations, etc.
  • Clinical oversight for the division of Adolescent Medicine in support of the clinical mission of CHoR of VCU Health system

Requirements:

  • Board Certification in General Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
  • Experience working with adolescents
  • Experience in education and training of house-staff, medical students, and others
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sub-board certification and/or additional graduate degree
  • Experience in advocacy at local, state, and national levels
  • Success in generating revenue through grants and contracts
