About the Role

Vetio is seeking a highly skilled Analytical Chemist I to support the functioning of our Quality Control Laboratory and Quality needs of our Compounding department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct physical analysis of in-process, finished goods, R&D, and stability samples to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Provide in-process batch adjustments by performing analysis and lab trials as instructed per the master batch record.
  • Record all evaluations in the laboratory notebook and report test results in the appropriate forms and analysis sheets according to cGMP, SOP, and current industry practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning glassware, counters, and equipment.
  • Ensure laboratory supplies are stocked and in order.
  • Perform daily calibrations and verification of balances, viscometers, pH meters, conductivity meters, and other equipment used for analysis.
  • Monitor supply inventory and notify management when it's time to order more supplies.
  • Support R&D work by preparing laboratory batches and trials as instructed by the R&D manager.
  • Assist with basic solution/media preparation and testing as needed.
  • Train new associates in QC laboratory procedures and functions as instructed by management.
Requirements
  • Preferred degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
  • Experience with HPLC analysis, preferably with Waters brand and Empower 3 Software.
  • Strong analytical weighing, pipetting, and general analytical lab skills, including related calculations.
  • Experience with GMP/FDA regulated industry preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and comprehend SOPs, compendia, and technical documents in English.
