Job Highlights:

SSM Health's Epic Billing and Claims Support Team is seeking a highly skilled professional with expertise in Epic Environment builds. As a key member of our team, you will serve as an IT liaison for Epic end-users, business partners, and our supporting Epic application team members. An Epic Resolute Professional Billing Certification is required.

Our employees work remotely, but must be residents of Missouri, Oklahoma, Illinois, Indiana, Texas, Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina, or Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

Responsible for configuring, implementing, supporting, and maintaining applications and technical integrations, specifically Epic applications, to meet the needs of the organization. Serves as a coordinator and has meaningful relationships with business operations, information technology, leadership, system users, and vendors.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Translates knowledge of standard workflows and build requirements into configuration and business process changes.
  • Provides routine maintenance and standard build for Epic applications and systems using existing procedures, following and staying current with internal processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Provides technical knowledge, analyzing Epic vendor software updates and their impact on the business for Epic applications in the area of expertise.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves basic to moderately complex application issues and provides end-user support for Epic applications in the area of expertise.
  • Codes complex functions, including building application tables and reports for Epic applications in the area of expertise.
  • Updates testing scripts to incorporate ongoing system development and implementations.
  • Acts as a resource for Epic colleagues with less experience, may lead small projects with manageable risk and resource requirements.
  • Analyzes, prioritizes, and organizes technical requirement specifications, using data, diagrams, and flowcharts to inform decision-making.
  • Solves complex problems, takes a new perspective on existing solutions, exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent years of experience and education.
Experience:

  • Three years' relevant experience. Experience in Epic builds required.
Certification:

  • Epic certified in one or more modules.
Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.
