About the Role
We're seeking a talented, creative, and passionate Front End Software Engineer to architect, design, and develop innovative, highly performant, and highly available software in the form of cross-browser web UI applications. Our technical work spans rich interactions and server-side Node.js applications to integrate with web services and applications across various device form factors that help sellers worldwide to onboard, manage, and grow their business on the largest global marketplace.

What You'll Accomplish
Design and develop eBay web applications using JavaScript, Node.js while working in an Agile Scrum team. Analyze and improve the speed, efficiency, scalability, stability, availability, and security of customer-facing applications. Develop documentation and test infrastructure necessary to reach production-level readiness. Write automation tests in JavaScript using automation frameworks for front-end applications. Work with product, business unit, and UI design partners to understand product requirements and translate them into engineering requirements. Estimate engineering effort; plan, implement, and roll out system changes. Identify project technical risks and make recommendations to mitigate risks.

What You'll Bring
BS or higher and 5-8 years of experience architecting, designing, and developing high-volume and highly interactive web applications in an agile environment that works across browsers and device types. Solid experience in server-side Node.js web application development coupled with advanced knowledge and experiences of HTML, CSS, REST, and advanced JavaScript development. Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Svelte, SolidJS, Marko, etc.) in an agile environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and the confidence to question where necessary.
