We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Plasma Collection Technician to join our team at Kedrion Biopharma Inc. KEDPLASMA LLC. As a key member of our donor center team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plasma collection process, providing exceptional customer service to our donors, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory policies and procedures to ensure compliance and maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide a high level of customer service to donors, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Prepare equipment and supplies for plasma collection, including donor set-up, monitoring, and disconnect in compliance with SOPs and FDA guidelines.
- Monitor the safety and care of donors during the plasma collection process, maintaining alertness for donor reactions and assisting with reactions or notifying medical staff as needed.
- Facilitate donor flow throughout the center, minimizing wait times by working efficiently and effectively.
- Perform troubleshooting of equipment within scope of training and respond to complex equipment alarms or donor issues related to collection.
- Maintain data integrity and confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
- Prepare center for audits by maintaining a clean, efficient work environment and ensuring sufficient operating supplies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one-year experience in a customer service environment, with experience in a medical office, retail, blood, or plasma collection center preferred.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Comfortable being near human blood and exposed to bloodborne pathogens, with ability to wear personal protective equipment as needed.
