Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center is seeking a part-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide counseling services to preschool-age children in the Northtowns/Niagara County area. The successful candidate will work on a fee-for-service basis, providing individualized support to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Counseling Services: Deliver on-going assessments and treatment to children, communicating with necessary staff and documenting assessments appropriately.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work with other team members, including family members, teachers, and speech-language pathologists, to facilitate comprehensive treatment.
  • Family Support: Serve as a communication and counseling resource for families, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Crisis Response: Respond to crisis situations, ensuring each situation is handled appropriately in terms of reporting and documentation.
  • Licensure and Professional Development: Maintain licensure and stay up-to-date with best practices in the field.
Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate degree from an accredited university/college in Social Work.
  • Licensure: New York State Licensed Clinical Master of Social Worker (LCSW) and NYS Social Worker Certificate.
Skills:
  • Empathy: Ability to identify with or vicariously experience another person's situation.
