The Opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is seeking a dedicated full-time or part-time Line Cook to become part of our dynamic team at Wheeling Island Casino. In this role, you will be tasked with preparing meals in accordance with established recipes and chef guidelines.

Compensation

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately measure, portion, and cook all food items promptly.
  • Maintain appropriate food temperatures and ensure safe food storage.
  • Execute opening, closing, and side work duties following established protocols.
  • Keep the workstation and equipment clean, organized, and adequately stocked.
  • Adhere to waste control guidelines and document all waste on spoilage sheets.
Qualifications
  • At least 6 months of experience in a similar role as a prep cook or line cook.
  • Ability to work quickly and manage multiple orders efficiently.
  • Capability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
  • Basic math skills for understanding and calculating recipe measurements.
  • No high school diploma or GED is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Manual dexterity to chop, mix, and blend various foods and liquids.
  • Ability to lift large pans weighing up to 50 pounds and operate kitchen equipment.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
  • Work in a hot and humid environment.
Shift Details

Available shifts include day and evening shifts, with requirements for holidays and weekends. Each shift lasts 8 hours, with overtime as needed.
