Event Security Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Event Security Officer to join our team at the Pan American Center. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all events held at the venue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to requests for assistance from staff and visitors for a variety of security issues, including fire and medical emergencies.
- Perform all event and non-event security duties as assigned.
- Conduct building safety inspections, including pre-event and post-event safety checks.
- Admit building staff, suppliers, contractors, visitors, and guests to the facility according to established security procedures.
- Answer information requests from staff and guests during events or as needed.
- Protect Arena equipment, materials, and structures throughout the work schedule.
- Provide regular security functions within the Arena and related areas, prior to, during, and after all events.
- Responsible for clean, neat appearance with complete Pan American Security Uniform.
- Receive, record, and return all lost and found items according to established team procedures.
- When requested, provide escorts of persons to and from locations within the Pan American Center facility.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Operations, Event Operations Managers, and General Manager.
Requirements:
- Prior security experience preferred, but not required.
- Able to work Pan American Center events.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language required.
- Ability to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends, and select holidays, is required.
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Must have earned or can earn valid CPR certification.
- Must demonstrate a positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
