Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee customer satisfaction within the banking center, effectively addressing customer concerns in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Manage the operational integrity of the financial center by monitoring key risk areas, including discrepancies in teller transactions, operational losses, and adherence to audit protocols.
  • Maintain a cash drawer with strict compliance to audit and security regulations.
  • Supervise the control of vault cash, ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Organize workflow and manage teller scheduling to optimize efficiency.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide necessary guidance and support.
  • Identify training requirements and establish performance improvement plans.
  • Promote additional services and bank products through cross-selling and referrals to enhance business relationships.
  • Conduct team meetings to communicate new policies and foster continuous staff development.
  • Facilitate discussions to enhance sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service skills.
  • Clarify product features, updates, restrictions, and requirements to both customers and tellers.
  • Ensure maximum efficiency and control within the teller line operations.
  • Guarantee compliance with audit and security measures during service hours and at the start and end of banking operations.
  • Oversee the inventory management of cash, traveler's checks, official checks, and personal money orders through dual control processes.
  • Monitor daily ATM balancing and processing, including necessary audits.
  • Verify deposits made through night and lobby depositories.
  • Alert team members to any signs of fraud, kiting, theft, or other illicit activities.
  • Secure all cash records and transaction documentation at the close of business.
  • Manage teller cash limits and overall branch cash control.
  • Ensure daily cash reconciliation for the branch.
  • Assist in vault control responsibilities through dual oversight.
  • Exercise sound judgment in accordance with bank policies when authorizing teller transactions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in using a 10-key calculator and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Prior experience in a teller role is advantageous.
