Position Overview

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a dedicated professional to take on the role of a CT Imaging Specialist. This position involves executing a range of CT imaging procedures within a clinical environment under the guidance of a radiologist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine quality assurance assessments on imaging equipment and related areas.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and standards.
  • Operate imaging machinery in accordance with established procedures.
  • Effectively communicate and clarify imaging processes to patients.
  • Prepare and position patients utilizing CT imaging protocols to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Provide instruction to students and residents while assisting in the management of inventory supplies.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at service and process enhancement.
Qualifications:
  • Education: An Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • Experience: No prior experience is necessary.
  • Licensure: Must hold a Registered Radiologic Technologist certification through ARRT R.T. ARRT (CT) certification is required within one year of employment. AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification is also mandatory.
Physical Requirements:

This role necessitates prolonged periods of standing, bending, reaching, and lifting. Candidates should possess strong communication, auditory, and visual skills, along with attention to detail and the ability to lift weights. The position may involve exposure to various environmental factors such as cold, dust, noise, radiation, and infectious materials.
