Principle Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with assigned providers to ensure optimal patient care.
    • Promote effective communication within the team and with other healthcare staff.
    • Act as a resource to team members and provide support as needed.
  • Patient Care:
    • Provide comprehensive patient assessments and determine diagnosis and treatment plans.
    • Order and interpret medical diagnostics in conjunction with attending physicians or APCs.
    • Prescribe medications, treatments, and medical equipment as needed.
    • Conduct patient education on chronic illness management and wellness care.
    • Refer patients for specialty care when necessary.
    • Consult with physicians or experienced APCs when patient needs exceed scope of practice or require additional expertise.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters or PhD in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • New graduates will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of primary care NP/PA experience.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • RN (for NP) State of MN and/or WI license required.
  • NP or PA State of MN and/or WI license/cert required.
  • DEA required.
  • BLS required within 180 days.

Physical Demands:

Medium Work*: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently.
