Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and uphold quality control policies and procedures to ensure adherence to company, client, and regulatory standards, providing necessary feedback and follow-up for corrective measures.
- Oversee the facility's SQF certification initiatives.
- Conduct customer audits and annual SQF evaluations.
- Develop and sustain the HACCP plan while training plant staff on quality assurance protocols.
- Engage with USDA for preoperational and operational inspections.
- Design and maintain quality control systems, including Pest Control, Self-Inspection, Supplier Management, Safety, Microbiological Testing, and Defense.
- Execute pre-shipment assessments, Critical Control Points (CCPs), validation studies, and document deficiencies related to GMPs, HACCP, and SSOPs.
- Perform microbiological evaluations on finished products, environmental samples, and surfaces in direct contact with food.
Qualifications:
- Proficient computer skills, strong analytical capabilities, and familiarity with food processing equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control methodologies in the food production sector.
- Understanding of quality process control, HACCP, SSOP, and SOP standards.
- Familiarity with USDA and FDA regulations.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Over five years of quality control experience in a food manufacturing setting.
- HACCP Certification is preferred.
- SQF Certification is advantageous.
- Experience with USDA regulations.
- Background in a Ready-to-Eat (RTE) production environment.
- Experience managing quality across multiple locations.
The client offers relocation assistance and is targeting a base salary of $120,000 to $130,000.
