Position: Laundry Technician

Are you adept at maintaining cleanliness and organization? Do you possess the skills necessary to manage laundry operations effectively? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

  • Sorts heavily soiled garments and linens received from various departments;
  • Prepares linen carts for distribution;
  • Folds and organizes residents' personal garments;
  • Maintains linen inventory in storage areas;
  • Conducts routine inventory counts and documents them accurately;
  • Loads and unloads washing machines and dryers (ability to lift heavy items, including 50 lb bags of soiled linens, is required); wet laundry can be quite heavy.
  • Presses sheets, tablecloths, and other items using commercial ironing equipment;
  • Operates small folding machines;
  • Collects soiled linens from resident areas and transports them to the laundry facility;
  • Measures and records the weight of soiled linens;
  • Loads clean linen carts for distribution;
  • Labels clothing with identification tags;
  • Cleans lint traps and other machinery; maintains cleanliness of laundry carts.
  • Handles deliveries of linens and chemical supplies;
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage stress and maintain composure under pressure;
  • May also be cross-trained in housekeeping duties as a Housekeeping Aide when necessary.
