Position: Laundry Technician

Are you proficient in maintaining cleanliness and organization? Do you excel in performing laundry duties with efficiency? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

  • Sorts heavily soiled garments and linens received from various departments;
  • Prepares linen carts for distribution;
  • Folds and organizes residents' personal apparel;
  • Maintains linen inventory in Storage Areas and Linen Closets;
  • Conducts routine inventory counts and documents them accurately;
  • Loads and unloads washing machines and dryers (must be capable of handling heavy loads, including 50 lb bags of soiled linen); Wet laundry from our machines can be quite heavy.
  • Presses sheets, tablecloths, and other items using commercial pressing equipment;
  • Operates small folding machines;
  • Collects soiled linens from resident floors and transports them to the laundry area;
  • Weighs and logs the weight of soiled linens;
  • Loads clean linen carts for distribution;
  • Labels clothing with identification tags;
  • Cleans lint traps and other equipment; maintains cleanliness of laundry carts.
  • Handles deliveries of linens and chemical supplies;
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage stress, pressure, and anxiety effectively;
  • May also be cross-trained in Housekeeping duties as needed.
