Job Title: Delivery Driver

At Airgas, we are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and deliver compressed gas cylinders to customer locations.
  • Record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest and obtain signatures from customers for receipt purposes.
  • Collect empty cylinders or rejected or unsold merchandise and return them to a plant or branch location for refilling.
  • Establish and maintain good customer relations by listening to and resolving service inquiries and complaints.
  • Provide timely communication to management or customers regarding any changes or issues experienced by the customer.
  • Perform cylinder inspections per operating procedures and maintain load manifests and all required vehicle documents.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class A Driver's License.
  • Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
  • Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications (or ability to acquire certifications as a condition of employment).
  • One (1) year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively speak to customers and employees as well as legibly write.
