Project Engineer

Southland Industries is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the success of our projects, working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist project managers in coordinating projects, including estimating, scheduling, and design
  • Support field labor, including labor feedback and equipment procurement
  • Develop skills in estimating, scheduling, and design to better understand the coordination of the design-build construction process
  • Assist in budget analysis, cost and margin projections, and estimate project changes and impacts
  • Develop project schedules and assist in their implementation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related field, with 3-5 years qualifying for Project Engineer II
  • Experience working with a mechanical contractor and supporting project work or as a design engineer looking to transition into operations
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and design
  • Design Build experience a plus
