The role involves the development and oversight of a comprehensive trainee employee assistance program (TEAP) that aligns with regulatory and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students for possible substance use issues.
- Deliver both individual and group counseling sessions for students requiring support.
- Engage in orientation activities for incoming students.
- Manage the retesting process for students who have tested positive for substances during their probationary period.
- Provide ongoing counseling to help prevent relapse.
- Facilitate educational programs on substance abuse for student employees.
- Conduct training workshops focused on the identification and management of substance use disorders.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Expertise in designing and executing substance abuse prevention programs.
- Skilled in training both staff and students on recognizing substance abuse issues.
- Ability to assess the treatment needs of students and coordinate their access to necessary resources.
Educational Qualifications:
- Certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor as mandated by state regulations.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in the field.
Additional Requirements:
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Physical Requirements:
