This position is responsible for fully performing basic Medical Assistant duties. Facilitates unit operations by managing patient flow. Responsible for all front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Program Required
- 1+ years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant Required
- Able to communicate effectively with people from varied socioeconomic backgrounds. Required
- Able to organize changing work assignments. Required
- Medical terminology knowledge. Preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Preferred
This role requires standing, walking, and frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. The ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions is also required.
