Job Overview

As a Senior Addiction Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with substance abuse. You will work closely with our clients to develop personalized treatment plans, provide counseling services, and connect them with community resources.

Responsibilities
  • Client Care
    • Conduct initial assessments and develop treatment plans for clients
    • Provide individual and group counseling sessions
    • Connect clients with community resources and support services
  • Clinical Responsibilities
    • Oversee self-administered medication and document accordingly
    • Develop and implement treatment plans based on ASAM criteria
    • Complete initial UA and document results
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
    • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Masters degree in Counseling or related field required
    • Certification as an AOD counselor (CCAPP or CADTP)
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • 2+ years of experience working with addiction recovery populations
    • Strong knowledge of ASAM criteria and treatment planning
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
