Immediate Opening for Automated Welding Specialist
We are currently seeking a dedicated Automated Welding Specialist to join our team. This position involves working Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed, from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, and on Fridays from 6 AM to 11 AM. The role offers a competitive starting wage of $18+.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize robotic welding equipment to join components for hydraulic cylinders, rods, and tubes in accordance with specified guidelines.
- Set up fixtures and prepare components for robotic welding.
- Monitor and supply the robotic welder with materials, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Maintain high-quality standards for welds and components, addressing any defects promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance on the robotic welding equipment, including cleaning and checking for loose connections.
- Document necessary information in the computer system and complete routing sheets for subsequent processes.
- Ensure all parts are washed and prepared prior to welding.
- Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A high school diploma or GED (preferred).
- Relevant post-secondary training or experience in welding (preferred).
Competencies:
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, both written and verbal.
- Problem-solving skills related to welding processes.
- Basic understanding of shop mathematics, including fractions, percentages, and geometry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Effective communication skills in English.
