Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the nurse manager in daily operations and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve unit goals.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care on assigned units and shifts.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of nursing personnel.
  • Provide nursing care utilizing specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and support staff recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Use critical thinking to provide patient care management through staffing plan development and delegation of resources.
  • Support human resource management, including coaching, timekeeping, and development and evaluation of nursing personnel.
  • Promote a positive work environment and staff engagement.
  • Serve as a clinical resource to the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN required.
  • Valid Ohio license.
  • Current Health Care Provider BLS training from the American Heart Association.
  • Relevant professional nursing certification, preferred.
  • Minimum two years relevant clinical experience with demonstrated management and leadership abilities.
  • Previous charge nurse or other leadership experience required.
