Overview

The Service Operations Technician will be tasked with visiting various retail locations to assess, diagnose, and fix our reverse vending machines (RVM). The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic and a desire to acquire new skills through provided training. A foundational understanding of maintenance or mechanical systems, coupled with the ability to conduct root cause analysis for troubleshooting, is essential.

Role Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on reverse vending machines (RVMs). This position will emphasize working with conveyors, sensors, motors, and other mechanical components. A significant aspect of the role involves traveling between sites, thus a clean driving record and an enjoyment of road travel are crucial.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical parts of reverse vending machines (RVM).
  • Install new RVMs at designated locations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and the general public.
  • Utilize hands for assembling, disassembling, and repairing mechanical components.
  • Company vehicle provided with covered expenses.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with robust prioritization capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently following training.
  • Must be capable of regularly lifting up to 50 lbs and frequently pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs.
  • Willingness to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends.
  • Excellent driving skills and a clean motor vehicle record.
  • Availability for weekend shifts is mandatory.
  • Proficient in reading and writing English.
