Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern to join our team at Golden State Foods. As a Supply Chain Intern, you will provide basic Supply Chain support, including collecting data, creating reports, and analyzing data to meet various internal and external reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Design and implement methods to gather and manage supply chain data, review and analyze gathered data to locate potential improvement and cost reduction opportunities in supply chain processes.
  • Supplier Diversity Program Management: Partner with Procurement and Supply Chain leaders to administer the supplier diversity program, including managing and analyzing spend data, submitting reports to customers, and identifying opportunities to improve performance.
  • Supply Chain Support: Support plants as needed to ensure smooth execution of routine supply chain and purchasing activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Education: Working on a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Experience: 0 to 3 years of experience in Supply Chain management or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, understanding of DOE principles, proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to work independently and in a team.
Knowledge and Abilities
  • Software Skills: Proficient in PC spreadsheet, word processing, and PowerPoint software.
  • Project Management: Knowledge of project coordination and management concepts.
  • Engineered Work Standards: Familiarity with engineered work standards concepts and techniques.
