Job Summary

This role oversees all material stock levels on the entire production floor, ensuring efficient inventory management and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document receipt of raw materials and submit corresponding paperwork to the shipping office.
  • Unload and move materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site, supplying production lines with raw materials as needed.
  • Inspect forklifts for safety prior to operation on each shift.
  • Store raw materials in designated bins in the raw material warehouse, stacking pallets neatly with labels visible.
  • Maintain all process equipment and clean filters on production lines.
  • Organize bins and stack empty gay lords and pallets, coordinating with the shipping supervisor on product disposition.
  • Gather scrap plastic and load it onto the scrap plastic truck.
  • Maintain loading lines to hoppers/vacuum pumps and troubleshoot machinery to correct issues as required.
  • Ensure housekeeping in areas of responsibility is safe, clean, and free of materials.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of material handling experience in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Successful completion of lift truck/forklift certification program preferred.
  • Ability to perform simple calculations and apply good mathematical reasoning.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision.
  • Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.
