Regional Maintenance Manager

Amazon's Reliability and Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is seeking a highly skilled Regional Maintenance Manager to lead our facilities and maintenance operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees, managing risks, and minimizing system downtime.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance engineering, with experience in managing teams and supervising maintenance activities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative solutions to complex problems, managing outside contractors, and being on call for emergencies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Operations team by working in a safe, customer-focused manner
- Developing and designing innovative solutions to difficult problems
- Managing multiple internally- and externally-sponsored projects and daily activities
- Working with local site Safety department leadership to understand, implement, and audit safety programs
- Developing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs
- Facilitating technical and safety training
- Mentoring Maintenance technicians
- Developing Maintenance department business plans
- Working with site Finance team to develop, set, and track budgets
- Participating in and supporting efficiency improvement Kaizen activities
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, such as Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering. They will also have 5+ years of experience in the distribution or manufacturing field, with equivalent experience in the mechanical or electrical field. Additionally, they will have experience in areas such as automated conveyor systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, and CMMS programs.

The base pay for this position ranges from $111,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $183,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
