Analog Electrical Design Engineer Job Opportunity

Aquinas Consulting is actively seeking an experienced Analog Electrical Design Engineer to join their team, providing design solutions and technical support for challenging projects in space-based EO/IR systems.

Due to the nature of this job, US Citizenship is a requirement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in high-reliability analog design, simulation, and system/component modeling.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-reliability analog electrical designs for critical space and military applications.
  • Lead electrical engineering support for flight mission applications and ground validation/testing activities.
  • Perform original electrical design, including complex analog design, simulation, and system/component modeling.
  • Conduct worst-case circuit performance/functional analysis over mission life and environment extremes.
  • Collaborate with program teams to develop design concepts and perform trades.
  • Prepare and present material for formal design reviews and customer meetings.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (MS preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience as an Analog Electrical Engineer on space programs.
  • Proven capability in lead electrical design and original conceptual design.
  • Experience in writing/deriving requirements and creating verification plans.
  • Expertise in high-reliability space systems, DoD airborne & ground systems, and government military programs.
  • Familiarity with electro-optical instruments, focal planes, power electronics, and motor drive design.
  • Proficient in using standard electrical engineering analysis and documentation software (e.g., PSPICE, Matlab, Mathcad).

This role offers a competitive salary, approximately $120,000 per year, depending on experience, along with opportunities for growth and professional development in the field of electrical engineering.
