XL Pro Staffing and Consulting Group is seeking a skilled Electrical Assembly Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, modifying, and repairing electrical apparatuses, equipment, and control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install electrical and electronics repairs, and troubleshoot by using drawings, schematics, interpretation, and knowledge of applicable codes and safety regulations.
- Read equipment assembly specifications, such as charts, schematics, blueprints, and typed instructions and details.
- Bring technical problems encountered to the Crew Chief's attention for resolution throughout the project.
- Participate in regular shop/yard organization and cleanliness exercises.
- Train new employees in assembly operations as required.
- Complete and maintain various records and documentation.
- Demonstrate the capability to work independently or in a team on complex and multiple projects requiring judgment to resolve problems.
- Familiarize yourself with operation controls such as safe working practices and job hazard analysis as appropriate to specific work tasks.
- Responsible for following all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures, and programs.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of mechanics and hydraulics, including knowledge of pumps, valves, and hosing systems as may apply to electro-mechanical or electro-hydraulic assemblies is an asset.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must have 1-5+ years of experience or demonstrate competency in a related field.
- Must have experience or demonstrate equivalent knowledge in electronics, electrical code, safety practices, electrical blueprint and schematic reading, and/or oilfield experience in maintenance and repair related systems.
- Knowledge of basic electrical code and safety practices and/or advanced electrical blueprint/schematic reading an asset.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and departments.
- Must be legal to work in the United States.
