Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team at St. Johnland Nursing Center. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
  • Construct, repair, and maintain structural interior and exterior of buildings using hand and power tools.
  • Repair and maintain furniture, equipment, and machinery.
  • Install and repair minor electrical equipment and lighting fixtures.
  • Perform minor plumbing jobs and make repairs to heating, air conditioning, and ventilating equipment.
  • Assist in removal of snow and perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in hospital, nursing home, or building maintenance environment.
  • Ability to use tools related to carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and mechanical trades.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
