Job Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our infrastructure and grounds, including various systems such as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of all facilities, performing minor repairs and maintenance as directed.
  • Conduct general cleaning and maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, and light construction work.
  • Carry out regular inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine cleaning duties, ensuring all areas are tidy and presentable.
  • Respond promptly to urgent cleaning needs, such as spills and leaks.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, assessing workplace safety and collaborating with management to address potential hazards.
  • Follow all established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory, preparing reports as necessary.
  • Maintain open communication with the team regarding completed tasks and ongoing projects.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, with the ability to effectively use hand and power tools.
  • Experience with cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Knowledge of food safety and workplace safety standards is highly desirable.
  • Certifications in GMP and HACCP are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative team player who contributes positively to the work environment.
  • Consistent attendance and performance history.
  • Awareness of safety precautions and hazards.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., with occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods on concrete surfaces.
  • Engagement in continuous physical activity, including walking, bending, and reaching.
