About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at PrideStaff. As a key member of our power supply development group, you will be responsible for designing and developing power conversion systems, analog and digital controls, and printed circuit layouts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop power conversion systems, including custom-specific and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) systems, involving MIL-STD interfaces and ANSI/VITA standards.
  • Develop analog and digital controls and monitoring circuits, and program digital I/O (FPGA, microcontroller, DSP).
  • Create printed circuit layouts for power supply designs.
  • Participate in concept-to-production development, testing, and documentation.
  • Perform design and test verification of formal electrical and mechanical environmental requirements, and EMI/EMC compliance requirements.
  • Build prototypes, test, and support the manufacturing of power supplies.
Requirements
  • 4-6 years of experience and/or equivalent experience and/or Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Applied experience in electronics design with a focus on analog/digital power supply design.
  • Knowledge of power conversion techniques and analog circuits, and EMI measurement and mitigation techniques.
  • Competence in circuit simulation tools, electronic design software, and printed circuit layout.
  • Knowledge of military specifications and standards.
  • Laboratory acumen, including knowledge of test equipment, hand tools, and prototype construction techniques, including TH/SMT soldering.
