Responsibilities:

Position Summary:


Under the guidance of the Billing Manager, the incumbent will oversee the daily operations and functions of the assigned billing units.

The role involves monitoring billing and collections processes, addressing any discrepancies, and providing management with relevant trends.

Supervises the overall workflow of billing units, ensuring that tasks are executed accurately and promptly to meet established deadlines and objectives.

The supervisor will troubleshoot daily correspondence issues, including missing or delayed requests, and will research and implement solutions. Additionally, the supervisor will create, track, and maintain productivity logs for the unit.

Demonstrated customer service skills relevant to the position

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training

Strong leadership capabilities to mentor and enhance staff performance.

Ability to conduct thorough and accurate reviews of complex subordinate work and oversee the coordination of ongoing tasks and projects over extended periods.


Ability to supervise, schedule, and coordinate daily activities of subordinate staff while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Comprehensive knowledge of medical and insurance terminology, billing, and collections procedures, as well as external regulations.

Familiarity with human resources management policies, with the ability to assess and document human resources matters and performance.

Strong skills in delivering quality customer service.

Interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts and collaborate effectively with all stakeholders, including patients, physician offices, third-party payers, attorneys, external agencies, and clinical and administrative personnel across departments.


Proficient in written and verbal communications, with the ability to effectively motivate others, convey complex information clearly and concisely, and prepare and present various reports and analyses.


Computer proficiency in all relevant software, hardware, and systems, including scheduling and calendaring programs to effectively set and communicate work schedules.
