As the Senior Payroll and Benefits Specialist, you will oversee the administration of payroll and benefits processes. This role necessitates close collaboration with Human Resources and Finance to design, implement, and manage compensation and benefits programs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll across multiple locations, adhering to all relevant regulations.
  • Audit and verify payroll deductions, garnishments, earnings, and accruals.
  • Maintain compliance with financial, legal, and administrative standards.
  • Prepare and submit necessary tax documentation.
  • Generate general journal entries related to payroll and benefits for ledger posting.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll data.
  • Conduct audits and reconciliations of benefit programs.
  • Administer and facilitate benefits programs, including 401(k) plans.
  • Manage required benefit tax filings and reporting.
  • Support the design and administration of benefits.
  • Assist with various HR initiatives as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred certification as a Certified Payroll Professional.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in ADP Workforce Now and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, including:
    • Experience with tax handling.
    • Multi-state payroll processing experience.
    • Experience administering payroll through ADP.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residency to comply with ITAR regulations.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening as per company policy.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with company policy.
