Job Summary

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team at Little Masters Development Center as Early Intervention Evaluators. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality evaluations and services to young children with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine eligibility, services, and recommendations for children with special needs, adhering to Early Intervention guidelines.
  • Parent Interviews and Communication: Conduct thorough parent interviews to gain a deep understanding of the child's background and medical history, addressing any inquiries regarding eligibility of services.
  • Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) Development: Facilitate the development of IFSPs and create age-appropriate goals that identify the child's achievements in accordance with developmentally appropriate time guidelines.
  • Evaluation Report Writing: Compile detailed evaluation reports that include information around test scores, behavior, medical, and recommended services, reviewing and revising any discrepancies, and summarizing the determined services needed for children.
  • Information Conferences and Quality Assurance: Lead information conferences to discuss evaluation results, address inquiries and concerns, identify goals, and demonstrate needed advocacy for the child, as required. Provide quality assurance functions, including evaluation review, critique, and feedback as needed.
  • Service Delivery and Collaboration: Provide high-quality services in home or daycare settings, as per Early Intervention requirements, and work collaboratively with colleagues, children, and families throughout the evaluation process.
  • Electronic Evaluation Submission: Prepare and submit evaluations electronically in a timely manner.

  • NYS Certified Special Education Teacher
  • NYS Certified Teacher of Students with Disabilities - Birth-Grade 2
  • NYS Certified Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped
  • NYS Certified Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities
  • NYS Licensed Physical Therapist
  • NYS Licensed Occupational Therapist
  • NYS Licensed Speech Therapist
  • NYS Licensed Psychologist
