Radiosurgery Nurse Job Description

At Riverside Health System, we are seeking a skilled Radiosurgery Nurse to join our team. As a Radiosurgery Nurse, you will work under the supervision of a Manager and Physician to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing radiosurgery procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs and develop a care plan to address these needs.
  • Partner with patients and families to develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care, treatments, and procedures.
  • Assist in procedures as directed by the physician, including assistance with head ring placement and nursing care and monitoring of patients during procedures.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in care coordination, including diagnostic test results prior to procedures.
  • Educate patients and families prior to and after procedures, individualizing and coordinating patient education and discharge education.

Requirements:
  • Associates Degree in Professional Nursing (Required)
  • 2 years of RN experience in minimally invasive procedures (Preferred)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Virginia (Required)
  • CPR/BLS Certification (Required)
  • ACLS Provider Certification (Required)
