Job Title: Survey Crew Chief

Farnsworth Group is seeking a highly skilled Survey Crew Chief to join our team in Cleveland, OH. As a Survey Crew Chief, you will be responsible for leading a team of surveyors in performing ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, and Construction Layout.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of surveyors in conducting ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, and Construction Layout.
  • Perform boundary research and surveys according to Indiana Rule 12 of the Indiana Administrative Code for Boundary Surveys and/or Ohio Chapter Standards for Boundary Surveys (original or retracement surveys).
  • Conduct topographic surveys of small sites to large farm surveys with ATV's.
  • Perform construction layout for site development, commercial/retail, residential, industrial/warehouse, subdivisions, municipal, and transportation.
  • Perform as-built pipeline surveys.
  • Perform 3D scanning, UAV, and drone surveys.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years of property surveys, including ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, and Construction Layout.
  • Proficiency with Trimble GPS, Total Station, and Data Collectors.
  • Ability to organize field notes.
  • Ability to read construction plans.
  • Experience performing boundary research, preferred.
  • Ability to execute field staking.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel 50-60% required in this position.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Oil & Gas Pipeline experience.
  • DOT experience.
  • UAV license.
  • FAA 107 license.
