Position Overview:

The Construction Project Management Leader is accountable for overseeing all contractual obligations of designated construction projects, ensuring that Project Managers meet both internal and external objectives within established timelines and budget constraints.

This role involves reporting to senior management regarding project performance and guiding Project Managers to deliver projects on schedule and within budgetary limits.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing project risks and internal tracking processes to support business unit objectives.
  • Collaborating closely with sales and development teams to provide implementation support for current and future initiatives.
  • Overseeing multiple construction projects and their respective managers to guarantee that project goals are achieved in accordance with contractual obligations and customer satisfaction.
  • Aligning internal stakeholders with corporate objectives, business unit gross margin targets, and sales pipeline initiatives.
  • Evaluating Project Manager performance, offering constructive feedback, and fostering pathways for ongoing success for both individuals and Constellation Energy.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., electrical, mechanical) along with 7+ years of pertinent experience in construction management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.

Candidates should possess:

  • Experience in high-pressure environments where tact and collaboration are essential for cost-effective operations.
  • Proven skills in directing, supervising, and training employees, as well as managing work assignments, conducting performance evaluations, and resolving personnel issues.
  • The ability to unify diverse teams towards a common objective.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all financial aspects of project management.
  • Strategic thinking capabilities to develop short-term strategies for long-term solutions to complex challenges.
  • Strong understanding of engineering and construction documentation and processes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mechanical trades and construction, including specialties such as HVAC and electrical work.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating and familiarity with estimating software, such as RS Means and MCA Manual, is preferred.
  • Experience with project scheduling software like Primavera P6 and accounting software such as Deltek CostPoint is advantageous.
  • Practical knowledge of contract law.
