Position Overview:
As a Senior Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing essential equipment used in underground mining operations. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and safely, adhering to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic maintenance and repairs on underground mining equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations and maintain equipment in permissible conditions.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and document work accurately in relevant systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams to facilitate repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues, utilizing service manuals and technical documentation.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Technical degree in electrical systems or related field preferred.
  • Current MSHA electrical certification required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in underground mining.
  • Proficient in welding and fabrication techniques.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot equipment from schematics and manuals.
