About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team at Medtronic. As a key member of our Core R&D group, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of electrical systems for our implantable medical devices and patient care instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians in the design and development of electrical systems for our medical devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute product development strategies.
  • Develop and maintain design control documentation.
  • Guide the conceptualization of new methodologies, materials, machines, processes, or products.
  • Organize the coordination of activities with outside suppliers and consultants.
  • Interface with certified test houses to verify and certify to global regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technically related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in embedded electrical design and designing analog and digital circuitry on custom PCBs.
  • Experience with application of predictive engineering principles such as Design for Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar concepts.
  • Front-room and back-room FDA audit experience.
  • Experience validating test scripts, methods, and systems.
  • People management experience.

Salary ranges for U.S. (excl. PR) locations: $136,000.00 - $204,000.00.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
