Job Summary:

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team in providing comprehensive sports medicine services to student athletes in our community. As an Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to athletes, promoting their overall health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide athletic training services to student athletes, including injury prevention, clinical evaluation, and treatment.
  • Collaborate with team physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Design and implement training and rehabilitation programs for athletes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to prevent injuries.
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, and parents to ensure seamless care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest sports medicine research and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited athletic training education program.
  • Current licensure from the State of Arizona Board of Athletic Training and certification from the Board of Certification of Athletic Trainers (BOC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Strong understanding of sports-related injuries, treatment options, and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in athletic training or a related field.
  • Experience working in a sports medicine setting or with student athletes.
  • Familiarity with AIA and NFHS governing rules for required sports.
