Overview

As an Athletic Trainer, you'll play a vital role in our Sports Medicine Program, providing top-notch care to student athletes in our partner schools. Your expertise will help prevent injuries, diagnose and treat conditions, and support the overall well-being of our young athletes.

Responsibilities

As an Athletic Trainer, you'll be responsible for:
  • Providing athletic training services to student athletes under the direction of the team physician or by written referral from a physician
  • Managing and providing care for injuries to physically active individuals, as defined in the state practice act, with the direction of a licensed physician
  • Collaborating with team physicians in areas such as injury/illness prevention and wellness protection, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate and emergency care, treatment and rehabilitation, and organization and professional health and wellbeing

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited athletic training education program
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in athletic training or a related field, secondary school or collegiate level athletic training experience, and familiarity with AIA and NFHS governing rules for required sports
