Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Fleet Portfolio Analyst/Manager, you will play a vital role in managing and optimizing our railcar portfolio. This position offers the chance to collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals focused on enhancing our investment strategies and overall competitiveness. Your strong analytical abilities will be crucial in identifying optimal investment opportunities and executing strategies for outstanding results.

  • Formulate pricing and term structures while overseeing the execution of strategic initiatives aimed at maximizing the economic returns of our railcar fleet.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to pinpoint and negotiate favorable leasing opportunities for our existing railcars.
  • Design and implement innovative railcar investment strategies to enhance portfolio performance.
  • Continuously monitor and assess the performance of the current railcar fleet, making adjustments as needed.
  • Work in conjunction with internal teams to ensure that strategies align with overarching business objectives.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and market trends to guide investment decisions.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to effectively convey portfolio performance to relevant stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related quantitative field is required; an MBA is preferred.
  • 3-7 years of relevant experience in the rail industry or equipment leasing is essential, with direct management of railcar lease fleets being highly advantageous.
  • A solid understanding of economics, particularly in project evaluation and decision-making, is necessary.
  • Basic knowledge of railcar markets, customer dynamics, commodities, and leasing structures is required.
  • Familiarity with various railcar types, components, and industry regulations is a significant asset.
