POSITION SUMMARY
The Bartender is tasked with delivering a service experience that is gracious, kind, and warm, creating an engaging atmosphere and providing World-Class Service through Old-World Hospitality and Charm for guests. The Bartender will uphold a high standard of cleanliness in accordance with food service sanitation regulations. Responsibilities include serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, possessing extensive knowledge of the menu, taking guest orders, anticipating needs, delivering orders, and processing payments. Focus will be on departmental objectives of Consistency, Quality, and a Sense of Urgency.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The following points outline general responsibilities associated with this role:
  • Arrive punctually for pre-shift meetings with a positive demeanor and actively engage in discussions.
  • Consistently deliver an engaging atmosphere and World-Class Service by embodying Old-World Hospitality and Charm, while also reflecting the company’s core values.
  • Adhere to departmental standards, guidelines, and objectives, including compliance with all Food Service and Sanitation, OSHA, and Hazcom regulations.
  • Provide high-quality food and beverage service to all guests by following the sequence of service standards accurately and effectively. Utilize upselling techniques where appropriate.
  • Follow all standardized recipes diligently.
  • Safeguard company assets and comply with all policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accountability for all funds entrusted during assigned shifts.
  • Foster teamwork by assisting colleagues with essential tasks.
  • Ensure all monetary transactions and paperwork are balanced accurately.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including strict attendance and appearance guidelines, as well as confidentiality regarding guest information.
  • Remain vigilant for instances of fraud, counterfeit currency, or vouchers.
  • Balance all funds under personal responsibility and prepare reconciliation reports as necessary.
  • Practice all alcohol awareness policies and procedures diligently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring spills are cleaned immediately.
  • Use chemicals responsibly and as directed, ensuring all are in properly labeled containers.
  • Assist supervisors in organizing supplies according to the 5S Principles: Sort, Set in order, Systematically clean, Standardize, and Sustain, while dating all items with the current date.
  • Conduct oneself in a gracious, kind, and warm manner that fosters a sense of fondness, while remaining professional, courteous, and responsive, positively reflecting on the company and its core values.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by department and/or company management.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must possess the ability to:
  • Accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions relevant to business needs.
  • Interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Resolve conflicts and problems in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Be flexible to work various shifts, including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as required by business needs.
  • Be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations, including the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs., as well as perform actions such as pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, stacking, crouching, kneeling, and balancing in diverse work environments.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior bartending experience is preferred. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential. Must maintain confidentiality of information.

COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to other duties described, every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:
  • Attend mandatory training sessions provided by the casino.
  • Obtain necessary licenses.
  • Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure minors are not permitted to gamble, loiter in gambling areas, consume alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Understand the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relevant to the Team Member's department.
  • Be knowledgeable about the Property's programs addressing problem gambling.
  • Consult with appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with state regulations and internal control systems.
  • Investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations, reporting such instances to the appropriate management levels.
  • Report any acts of wrongdoing by any staff member that come to their attention.
