Medical Assistant

Toledo Clinic's Gynecology Department is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to provide front office support in a busy office. This position offers employee benefits and a unique work schedule with no weekends or holidays. The hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
We are offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants and Certified Patient Care Techs. This bonus is payable within 30 days of hire to employees with active and verified credentials. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants/Certified Patient Care Techs will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.
Key Responsibilities- Answering phones and scheduling appointments, lab tests, and surgeries.
- Entering lab, radiology orders, and prescriptions into the EMR system.
- Accurately entering patient information into the electronic medical record.
- Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications.
- Updating insurance information.
- Escorting patients to exam rooms and preparing and maintaining exam rooms.
Registration or Certification as a Medical Assistant is required. Excellent communication and organizational skills are also necessary. Consistently arriving at work on time and completing tasks within established time frames is essential. Medical Assisting degree or diploma is required. Previous clerical experience in a medical office is preferred.
