Brockton Hospital's Emergency Department is undergoing significant renovations to enhance our services for both patients and staff. Our department is equipped with 49 beds, including a secured area for behavioral health patients, ensuring comprehensive care for our diverse community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and address the needs of patients, providing accurate information and effective problem-solving.
  • Maintain composure and logical thinking in high-pressure situations.
  • Adapt to frequent interruptions and respond appropriately to unexpected events.
  • Accept feedback constructively and take necessary actions to improve performance.
  • Manage challenging patient interactions with a focus on safety and care quality.
  • Interpret various instructions provided in different formats.
  • Exercise sound judgment in communications with patients, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
  • Utilize well-developed interpersonal skills to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Deliver emergency care using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Document patient details, conditions, and treatments accurately.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and respect patient rights in all interactions.
  • Transport patients following established protocols.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and adequately stocked environment for patient care.
  • Provide basic life support as required.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current Paramedic certification/license in Massachusetts.
  • Current ACLS and PALS certifications.

Preferred:
